Clouds Glamping is a secluded dome retreat in Ciales, Puerto Rico — in the island's Central Mountains, close to the historic town of Ciales, the start of Puerto Rico's coffee country. It's one of the most authentic regions in Puerto Rico, with lush forests, dramatic karst mountains, and pristine rivers, just a few minutes from the downtown plaza and the PR-149 Gastronomic Route.

Yes. We recommend arriving by car, as it gives you the freedom to explore Ciales and venture to nearby attractions. Free on-site parking is included.
-
Yes. While El Yunque is beautiful, it draws heavy crowds and timed-entry permits. Ciales offers the same lush, mountainous rainforest feel — without the lines — a short drive from San Juan.
-
The dome itself is an FDomes-brand dome from Poland — the highest quality available — air-conditioned and outfitted with the modern comforts of any home: a queen-size bed with premium linens, a comfortable sofa and accent chairs, reading lamps, and large windows framing the mountain views. You'll also have fast, reliable Starlink Wi-Fi, heating, and a dedicated workspace — making it remote-work friendly.

In keeping with our sustainability values, the kitchen itself was built from scrap wood and metal left over from our gazebo construction.

Yes. The property is gated, with exterior security cameras, motion-activated lighting, and a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm on-site. It's also fully secluded — no neighbors in sight — and the surrounding community, many of whom work alongside us on the farm, keeps a natural eye on the property. Puerto Rico's countryside ("el campo") is generally much quieter and lower-crime than the San Juan metro area, which is part of why many solo and female travelers find the mountains more relaxing than expected. The majority of our guest are couples or solo travelers.
-
No — the entire property is exclusively yours for your stay, with no shared spaces and no on-site host, so you have complete privacy. Check-in is self-service via lockbox, and our team (including co-host Leila) is reachable by message and typically responds within an hour. The neighbors adjacent to the gate are there for emergencies and there will be 1-2 staff working on the farm during the weekends.

es. The dome sits on Hacienda Agro Bosque, a 67-acre farm restoring degraded land into productive agroforest, directly adjacent to more than 1,000 acres of protected forest. Hacienda Agro Bosque's mission — born out of the food insecurity Hurricane Maria exposed in Puerto Rico — combines regenerative agriculture with an equitable agribusiness model: planting native trees, plantains, pigeon peas, breadfruit, and fine-flavored cacao to restore both the forest and the local economy.
